What should I do after my treatment?

Who is not suited?

Anyone who:
Has myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton Syndrome.
Is hypersensitive to BTX-A.
Has an active infection in the area to be injected.
Is pregnant or breastfeeding.
Is under 18 years of age.
Has had a tetanus injection in the last four weeks.

Do I need a follow-up appointment?

To ensure that you are happy and that optimal results are achieved, it is recommended that you attend a review appointment and assessment at two weeks to check muscle activity and aesthetic outcome.

Treatment is suggested every three to four months to maintain results.

Lip Enhancement

When will I see results?

Results are visible immediately and optimal in one to two weeks. They last three to nine months, depending on the product prescribed and your body’s ability to metabolise the product. The dermal filler will be gradually resorbed by the body. Regular treatments will help to maintain results.

What should I do after my treatment?

Keep the injection site clean.
Take anti-histamines as required to reduce swelling.
Apply a cool compress to the site for ten minutes every hour.
Avoid facial treatments immediately after injection.
Avoid excessive pressure or any ‘face down’ (e.g. massage) treatments for 24 hours.
Avoid excessive exercise and exposure to heat for 24 hours.
Avoid lipsticks, AHA, retinols, vitamin C or oil-based make-up for 24 hours.

Avoid long-haul flights for four weeks.
